One Incredible IRRC Moment: Pierre Yves Bian

Next to feature in Road Racing News, new One Incredible IRRC Moment series, is 2019 Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix race winner, 2021 IRRC Supersport Champion Pierre Yves Bian.

The first solo French TT, North West 200 podium finisher of this century, his favourite recollection from his time sampling IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) events to date, is as follows:

“In 2016, first time at Horice and leading the race (Supersport), with a newcomer’s bib on!

Started P6 on the grid & after that I understand I have my place in road racing.”

Pierre continued:

“Also in 2021, when racing the ZX6R Kawasaki for the Martimotos team. We arrived at Chimay after Covid, first time road racing in IRRC since 2019.

My first lap in qualifying at 9:00 AM, few wet patches on the track, lapped at 1:42.3 seconds.

My brother was with my board, and he said to me, keep calm & show me three seconds advance on the second lap.

I understand at this moment, the Championship (Supersport) will be for me! Crazy sensation but true.”
