Set to make his Manx Grand Prix debut this year, Avis second within the final Support race of last year’s Cock O’The North event, answers to the set of questions, are as follows:
Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?
“Realising how steep the place is from the a**e end of the C paddock.”
Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?
“Being able to race from a mass start on a 30 mph public road.”
Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?
“I quite like Sheene’s Rise up through the esses, but it’s got to be Jefferies Jumps.”
Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?
“Setting a new PB getting into the 1.58’s (2024 Cock O’The North).”
Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?
“Barry Sheene. Us cockneys, have got to stick together.”
Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?
“My little ZXR 400 (Kawasaki) I recently bought. It’s half the reason I got it to be honest.”
Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?
“Ballsy”
Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?
“I don’t have a rival just yet as I’m new to the game and still finding my feet. Although I respect everyone who throws their leg over a bike and races there.”
