Q1: First memory of Oliver’s Mount?

“Doing a circuit walk with my dad in the early 70’s. On race days feeling the buzz as all the riders streamed past flat out past the start and finish, dad included on a 350 Aermacchi, there wasn’t a ‘Farm Bends’ back then.”

Q2: Favourite part about racing at the mount?

“The feeling you get from taking part in a closed roads event on a public road, the friendliness in the paddock, the banter is fantastic.”

Q3: Favourite section of Scarborough course?

“The section from Drury’s down the hill to Mountside and onto the bottom straight.”

Q4: Best moment thus far at Scarborough?

“Every time those lights change, they bring out a best moment – I’ve made great memories whether wet or dry.”

Q5: All time Scarborough racing hero?

“A tough one – I’m going to say Ken Redfern.”

Q6: Is there one machine in particular that you would like to race at Scarborough?

“Oh a choice. I’ll wish for the lottery win and hope that RC30 (Honda) comes along then!”

Q7: One word to describe Oliver’s Mount?

“Addictive”

Q8: Most respected racing rival at Scarborough?

“Anybody that lines up on that grid, all deserve the same respect in my mind.”
