As during the previous round at Teretonga Park, Cemetery Circuit Races lap-record holder Mitch Rees took top billing, at the second New Zealand Superbike Championship round of 2025 at Levels Raceway.
Bested by Dale Finch in the SBK race opener, the good friend of Senior TT winner Davey Todd, re-asserted and some his authority in big-bike encounters two and three (both ten lap distances).
Surging to successes by respective margins of 5.478, 4.746 seconds, the Whakatane rider (Team Rees Honda) decisively showed again the proficient, diverse skillset that has given him prominent achievements a plenty in recent times.
Alastair Hoogenboezem led the fight to Rees whilst Father Tony Rees bagged a consistent array of finishes (4th-3rd-4th).
A similar notion was applicable to another street racing regular, Rogan Chandler, scoring three top five finishes (5th-4th-5th).
The penultimate round of the 2025 NZ SBK Championship takes place next month (8th-9th March) with Hampton Downs the circuit host.
