Respected yesteryear racing exponent Jamie O’Brien, has confirmed his intention to compete at the two day Barry Sheene Classic meeting, which will see him pilot the Team Beale Roberts TZ 350 Yamaha.
A race winner at the Gedinne based Belgian Classic TT, consistently in contention for top level results at the Pre TT Classic Road Races, O’Brien’s acclaimed yesteryear racing CV also includes a 19th place finish in last August’s Lightweight Classic TT.

Delighted to be given the opportunity to compete on the distinctive yellow, red liveried Beale Roberts Yamaha, the racer who’s originally from Huyton, stated:
“This year I’ve had a few successful rides on board the EPR ROTAX, a few podiums in the post classic class including last week in Hockenheim, a 1st and a 2nd on debut there.
Eagerly awaiting heading to Scarborough, to pilot the Eddie Roberts Yamaha. Will be the first time I have sat on the bike. Looking forward to it. As Eddie Roberts was a local hero.”
Reminder the Barry Sheene Classic meeting, which marks the re-emergence of Oliver’s Mount into the pure road racing calendar, takes place from the 27th to the 28th of July.
