Winner of more races at Oliver’s Mount than Guy Martin, Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison who’s impeccable CV at England’s sole roads course, also includes back to back Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup triumphs, is a confirmed entrant for this July’s Barry Sheene Festival.

Runner up in recent qualifying for Saturday’s feature North West 200 Superbike race, the Bradford racer with over 65 race wins to date at Scarborough, is rightly regarded amongst the greatest exponents of North Yorkshire’s ‘Mini TT’.

Virtually unbeatable in recent times at the Mount on Supersport, Superstock machinery, late July’s competition at Scarborough will see him pilot the multi Classic TT winning, Silicone Engineering ZXR 750 Kawasaki, in the Classic Superbike races.

Speaking about his upcoming return to a roads course, which his family has a great heritage at, he candidly stated:

“I used to go as a lad with my dad, even my Grandad raced at Oliver’s. It was always a family outing, fish and chips on the seafront after the racing. I love the place and can’t wait the get back to my local track.”

Oliver’s Mount Racing Director Eddie Roberts, added his delight at securing Harrison for the rejuvenated 27th to 28th of July based Barry Sheene Festival meet, which has already attracted a strong amount of entries.

“We’re pleased to have Dean back at Oliver’s Mount for our first meeting, he has a lap record to defend!

Since entries opened last week, we’ve seen a steady influx of riders, and our dedicated team is working tirelessly on the track improvements. We will be announcing more ‘star’ riders shortly. It’s exciting times!”
