NW200: Coward, KTS Racing Eager For Tumultuous Return

Closing in on five years since his last NW200 exploration, Hebden Bridge’s Jamie Coward is back among the confirmed Briggs Equipment Northwest 200 starters.

Coward as previously reported will be astride works Triumph machinery (Street Triple 765 steed), racing under the newly created KTS Macadam Triumph Factory Racing umbrella.

The team-name is a combination of Kevin Watret’s KTS squad and British Supersport Championship goliaths Macadam Racing.

Speaking about his upcoming NW200 return, three times TT Privateers Champion Coward, stated:

“I’m looking forward to getting on the new bike and equally looking forward to coming back to the Northwest.

It’s a circuit I’ve always enjoyed and had good results at so with support from Triumph we should be even closer to the front. I’m super excited to get going.”

Going onto to discuss Superstock, Superbike action, piloting ex FHO Racing, Josh Brookes propelled M1000RR BMW metal (sponsored by Stanley Stewart), the former NW200 Super Twins race runner-up (2019 Race 1), said:

“When you look at the lap speeds, especially the speed trap figures, the BMW has that extra edge which should be to our benefit at the NW200.

It also suits taller riders better so I’m looking forward to testing it in preparation for the NW200.”
