North West 200 – Thursday Super Twin Practice News

Glorious blue skies and bright sunny weather greeted riders during Thursday’s super twin practice session at Vauxhall international North West 200. Lee Johnston who has achieved two podium finishes at North West 200 produced a scintillating performance to go quickest on East Coast racing ER6 Kawasaki.

Keith Amor lead throughout the session but had to settle for second place on KMR Kawasaki super twin. Ivan Lintin was highly impressive finishing third quickest for Mckinstry racing, Michael Dunlop had his first run out on Mcadoo racing ER6 Kawasaki and the seven time TT winner was instantly competitive finishing fourth fastest.

James Cowton 7th place finisher on his debut in last years North West 200 super twin race was a superb fifth quickest overall in front of Jeremy Mcwilliams who completed the top six. Martin Jessopp is continuing to get quicker on VRS racing super twin which he his competing on for the first time at this years North West 200 and the seasoned road racer was a highly creditable seventh fastest.

Connor Behan, James Hillier and Jamie Hamilton completed the top ten whilst Ryan Farquhar finished 11th in practice in front of Dean Harrison who was 12th fastest for RC Express racing Kawasaki.
