North West 200 – Alastair Seeley Sets The Pace In Opening Superbike Practice

Tyco BMW’s Alastair Seeley proved once again why he is considered an absolute maestro around the triangle as he finished fastest in opening superbike practice at the 2015 North West 200.

Gary Johnson showed great pace on GB Moto Racing ZX10R Kawasaki to finish second quickest.

East Coast Racing’s Lee Johnston was impressive in finishing third in practice as Dean Harrison continued his good start to the 2015 road racing season by piloting Mar Train Racing’s YZF R1M Yamaha to fourth fastest time.

Ian Hutchinson provided one of the feel good moments in opening superbike practice as he finished fifth overall as showed his undoubted star quality on Paul Bird Motorsport ZX10R Kawasaki.

Honda Racing’s 21 times TT winner John McGuinness rounded out the top six in practice whilst Michael Rutter competing on Penz 13.com Bathams backed S1000RR BMW finished seventh fastest.

Michael Dunlop highly anticipated international road racing debut on Milwaukee Yamaha superbike saw the 11 times TT winner finish eighth in opening superbike practice.

Tyco BMW’s William Dunlop and Guy Martin finalised the top ten during a practice session which saw multiple road racing stars producing highly accomplished performances.

Leading newcomer in practice was Derek Mcgee who finished 18th as the reigning Irish road race supersport champion adapts quickly to the triangle.
