The Brigg rider would go onto secure a brace of top six finishes, twice finishing leading Suzuki equipped pilot.
Aberdare Park Welsh Open winner Ryan Dixon, who is planning to sample selected roads events this year with Trickbits Racing, was runner-up from the opening Pirelli Super Series 1000 contest.
Market Rasen’s Phil Crowe claimed NL Premier 1000 Race One spoils whilst Preston’s Lewis Arrowsmith, a race winner at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, top twelve Manx Grand Prix finisher, scooped Motul National Endurance victory alongside Mark Pattinson.
