One of the most notable newcomers to competition next week around the tight, twisty, iconic roads course that is Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, will be multi Manx GP podium finisher, 18th place finisher in last month’s Dunlop Senior TT, Joe Akroyd.
Seventh in last week’s Southern 100 Solo Championship encounter, Akroyd who’s lapped the illustrious Mountain Course at in excess of the 124 mph lap mark, is set to pilot at Scarborough his own teams, trusty GSX-R 600 Suzuki steed.
Additionally he’s set for competitive action aboard a Loctite Yamaha replica, OW01 Yamaha mount, similar to which he’ll compete on at the Classic TT Races.
