By Michael Sweeney has being one of the most improved riders during this years road racing season. Michael competing for the Mick Jones racing team on a R6 Yamaha has recorded many a top result in the supersport races.
This has included winning the junior Manx grand prix. In a fabulous race with James Cowton, Michael was victorious winning for the second time the junior Manx grand prix. In the super twins Manx grand prix race Michael competing on a ER6 Kawasaki recorded a second place finish.
In all though this years Manx grand prix was a huge success for Michael Sweeney. Michael at the Mid Antrim 150 road races this year achieved a sensational grand final win when competing on the Mick Jones racing SR1000 BMW. In the superbike race at the Mid Antrim 150 road races Michael recorded a third place finish.
Plus Michael has achieved top three finishes at the Cork road races and Killalane road races. Michael has this year won the Irish road race 250 championship. Competing for John Burrows, Cookstown/Burrows engineering team Michael has finished many of the 250 races this season in the top three positions.
Michael Sweeney is one of the rising stars in road racing, this year has seen Michael have a top year of racing and in 2014 Michael could be entering the Isle of Man TT for the first time.
