Michael Rutter is aiming for his ninth Macau Grand Prix victory having teamed up for this years event with Milwaukee Yamaha. Nicknamed blade Michael won around Macau for the first time back in 1998 and has since then recorded a record eight wins at the challenging road race.
Most recently the four time TT winner was victorious at Macau back in 2012 when competing for SMT racing. This years Isle of Man TT was a consistent one for Michael which included excellent fifth place finish in Dainese superbike TT following a highly accomplished performance on Bathams backed S1000RR BMW.
The 2014 Vauxhall international North West 200 provided the multiple times winner around the triangle with more top results. Opening superstock race would provide him with second place finish having battled for race lead throughout with Michael Dunlop and Alastair Seeley.
Second superstock race followed a similar pattern to the opening one as Michael again battled for lead of the race, in the end he secured another second place finish for Bathams BMW. With good results at TT 2014 and 2014 North West 200 the popular rider goes into the Macau Grand Prix confident of more success at a road race circuit where many consider him a specialist.
