Gary Johnson Aiming For First Macau Grand Prix Victory

Gary Johnson is aiming for his first victory at the Macau Grand Prix. Gary third place finisher in 2013 at Macau has been battling back to full fitness following crash in this years superstock TT.

Before the incident the rider nicknamed aka driver enjoyed a memorable opening supersport race recording his second TT win. Competing on the Smiths Triumph right from the opening lap he lead and by the fourth lap of the race was involved in a great dice for victory with nine time TT winner Bruce Anstey.

At the end of lap four Gary secured supersport TT race 1 win plus Triumph’s first victory on the mountain course in eleven years. Most recently at the classic TT races competing on a Harris Yamaha reliability issues forced him to retire from formula 1 classic TT but up to that point Gary was showing good pace on his return to road racing action.

There’s no doubt that the extremely talented road racer has every chance of winning at the Macau Grand Prix for the first time, Gary is part of a exclusive club of riders to have achieved podium finishes at North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix, Macau Grand Prix and the Isle of Man TT.
