The entry process for the 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix, has officially opened.
Amongst those to have already opened stated their intention to venture back to Manx shores in August, include Team ILR’s Victor Lopez Santos, Maurizio Bottalico, Julian Trummer, Don Gilbert, HM Motorsport’s Gareth Arnold, ‘Tommy Club’ member Dan Ingham.
Richard Vuillermet, America’s Adam Bauer, Richard Kay, Ian Stanford, Ben Shuttlewood whilst prospective Mountain Course newbies, hoping to compete include:
Joe Yeardsley, Cyril Lecocq, Andreas Jochum, Garry Broughton and Baja International Tourist Cup runner-up Dave Thomas.
Alongside the five races (Lightweight, Super Twin, Senior Classic, Senior, Classic Superbike), Organisers have also disclosed that this year’s MGP will feature a legends of-the event lap.
The MGP legends lap scheduled to run on the 26th of August, pays homage to those who opened their Mountain Course racing careers at the Manx, before going onto achieve TT stardom.
Star names due to feature in the ‘Legends Lap’ include 16 times TT winner Ian Hutchinson, 11 times TT victor Phillip McCallen, 10 times TT winner Ian Lougher, Charlie Williams and Mick Grant.
