TT Races comeback beckons for pre-eminent Dutch roads scene outfit, Performance Racing Achterhoek with regular IRRC rider Adam McLean topping their challenge.
The Tobermore competitor (quickest TT newcomer in 2017), runner-up in last year’s IRRC Supersport Championship, has YZF-R6 Yamaha apparatus for the Monster Energy Supersport races, courtesy of Arno Wassink’s team whose most recent TT expedition arose in 2022 with squad stalwart Ilja Caljouw.
Last year, former Ulster Grand Prix winner, Northwest 200 podium finisher McLean re-joined TT rider ranks (first time since 2018), piloting the Flitwick Motorcycles Yamaha.
Going onto finish one place shy of his current TT PB finish (eighth – 2018 Lightweight contest) within the Entire Cover Insurance Super Twins race, the Cookstown 100 lap-record holder proved that despite been six years away from TT action, the deft-touch, core speed remains in earnest around the Mountain Course.
Now back amongst the Supersport races entry-list, the Northern Irishman is confident of picking up an array of striking finishes during TT 2025.
Speaking via his suitors’ official website, he said:
“When the team told me that they wanted to participate in the Isle of Man TT together, I didn’t have to think about it for long.
The team already has a-number of participations to its name, and I think we can achieve a good result together.”
