The one to beat across prior series rounds at Teretonga Park, Levels Raceway, Hampton Downs, the NZ SBK season finale at Taupo Motorsport Park saw the Whakatane speedster, Cemetery Circuit Races lap record carrier continue his ace-fashion form.
Banking three consecutive premier-class triumphs, race winning margins 9 seconds plus x3, the second big-bike encounter yielded a new Taupo Superbike lap-record of 1 minute 25.573 seconds.
Finishing almost twelve seconds behind Rees, from the 12-laps long SBK race three, was 43 plate-holder Alastair Hoogenboezem.
Rogan Chandler rounded out the podium finishers with fourth place attained by Paeroa ‘Battle of The Streets’ goliath, 2017 Robert Holden Memorial Feature race Champion at Whanganui, Scott Moir.
