Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Adam McLean, ended an intensive three-day testing stint in Valencia (Circuit Ricardo Tormo) in thriving style, winning the Speer Racing organised 600/750 sprint race.
Held over eight-laps, Tobermore’s McLean (R6 Yamaha vaulted), the 2024 IRRC Supersport Championship runner-up finished on top from a tight contest, emerging only 0.381, 0.596 in front of Lorenzo Fellon and Kostin Timur.
McLean’s Performance Racing Achterhoek team-mate Ilja Caljouw, attained sixth, having won a three-rider battle for the final place amongst the leader-board top six.
Before, after the sole middleweight class contest, two 1000cc sprint races additionally took place yesterday.
The opening 1000cc encounter saw three times podium finisher, from last year’s Imatranajo extravaganza, Eemeli Lahti victorious.
Lahti who set the quickest lap of the race (1.36.488), final winning margin was close to 2.5 seconds, with 116-plate carrier Jamie Davies top pursuer.
