By TH Racing’s 2025 Briggs Equipment Northwest 200 and TT Races rider line-up is now times two after agreeing a deal with James Chawke, to race CBR 600RR Honda tackle, tuned by Ten Kate alongside South Africa’s leading international road racer, AJ Venter.
2018 Junior Manx Grand Prix winner, Rathkeale racer Chawke, a top fifteen finisher in last June’s Superbike TT, along the way, nearing a 125-mph lap, stated recently about his 2025 Supersport ride.
“I’m honoured to have been asked by Willis Marshall to ride for the team at the NW200 and TT in 2025. After a few texts and calls we all finally met at the weekend and the deal was too good to turn down.
I hope to improve my results at the NW200 and TT in 2025. I have broken into the top 15 at both and now the top ten is my next goal.”
‘Chawkie’, fifth in the 2022 Irish Road Race Superbike Championship, continued:
“I took an 11th place finish in the TT Super twins race in 2019 and 14th in the Superbike race in 2024 with a best lap of 124.9mph so the addition of the Supersport ride in 2025 is vital and it’s a class I like a lot.
It will be great to be in the same camp as AJ Venter with whom I had some great battles with in 2024, and mighty craic, so the whole package is something that I am looking forward to immensely.”
Enthusiastic owner of TH Racing, Trevor Harbinson, went onto add:
“It’s great for the team to have a second rider at the NW200 and TT races in 2025, and no better man than James Chawke to fill that role.
I think we have put together a very strong team in 2025 with James and AJ and I am sure both will carry the team-name with pride and honour, and we welcome James into the team and hope he has a very enjoyable and successful 2025.”
