The highly anticipated superpole superbike qualifying session cancelled yesterday due to adverse weather conditions, is planned to take place tomorrow at the MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix.
The ten riders who have qualified for superpole, prior Thursday’s superbike qualifying session are as follows:
1 Michael Dunlop Hawk Racing
2 Peter Hickman JG Speedfit Kawasaki
3 Bruce Anstey Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Motorcycles
4 Ian Hutchinson Tyco BMW
5 Dean Harrison Silicone Engineering Racing
6 Conor Cummins Honda Racing
7 Derek Sheils Cookstown BE Racing
8 Gary Johnson East Coast Racing
9 William Dunlop William Dunlop Racing/Caffrey International
10 Dan Kneen Mar Train Racing Yamaha
The ten riders will each have one warm lap, then one timed lap, as they battle for pole position for the Ulster GP superbike races.
If road conditions are not dry tomorrow, the superpole session will not take place. Grid positions for the superbike races, would then be via Thursday’s superbike qualifying, which saw Michael Dunlop set the pace, lapping close to the 132 mph mark.

Commenting on the planned superpole session, Ulster GP, Clerk of the Course, Noel Johnston said:
“I am pretty determined to make this happen and I’d say most of the guys will be happy to get an extra couple of laps in prior to the main event of the day.
The weather was against us on Thursday but my plan is to stage the Superpole after the second race in what I hope will be a thrilling precursor to the Superbike races. Seeing some of the top boys pushing it on a flying lap of this amazing circuit will be a great spectacle.”
