Caistor’s Barratt who placed a great seventh in the inaugural Lightweight Classic TT, answers to the Mountain Course themed set of questions are as follows:
Q1: When you first competed at the Manx, what was your first initial thought of the Mountain Course?
“After a few years of holiday riding the course, the first real closed lap thoughts was how wide the road was when you have both sides!!”
Q2: Most memorable Manx GP bike?
“Best bike has been the only bike my TZ 250 Yamaha.”
Q3: Most treasured memory from the Manx?
“Most treasured memory was finishing the 06 Lightweight race in 6th place.”
Q4: Is there one specific Manx GP competitor that you look up to?
“Always admired Neil Kent, true Manx spirit.”
Q5: Describe the Manx GP in one word?
“Addictive!”
Q6: Finally, if you could race one machine from any series, championship around the Mountain Course, what would it be?
“Has to be the YZR 500 (Yamaha) that Bruce (Anstey) rode, just a fantastic bike.”
