Manx GP Newcomers Weekend Summary

Potential Manx GP newcomers over the past weekend, travelled around the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, as they took important next steps towards becoming Manx Grand Prix competitors.

Racers in attendance included the Isle of Wight’s top pure road racer Ryan Whitehall, eighth place finisher in last year’s IRRC Supersport Championship Julien Cregniot, Irish roads Senior Support class front runners Anthony O’Carroll, Dermot Cleary, Kevin Baker, Darryl Anderson and Graham McAleese.

Others with road race experience in abundance, attending included Eddy Ferre, fellow countrymen Cyril Lecocq, Kevin Rigot, former professional skier Gerald Dath.

North West 200 podium finisher, Kingston Upon Hull’s Richie Welsh, Germany’s Andreas Jochum, Mark Johnson, Noel Smith, Oliver’s Mount Scarborough mainstay Garry Broughton.

Racers not mentioned yet who took take part in the opening newcomers-weekend, are Welder by trade Connor Wade, Craig Howton, Andrew Jones, Belgium’s Jeffrey Vromont.

Oregon’s Andy Skov, Aaron Hughes, Jacques Foley and experienced Irish roads pilot Darragh Trappe.

Experienced current, former Manx GP, TT competitors to offer knowledge, tips a plenty to prospective Manx GP competitors on Saturday, Sunday included Carolynn Sells, Dan Ingham and popular travelling marshal/Manx Motor Cycle Club Vice Chairman, Jim Hunter.
