Every racer who tackles the world-famous Manx Grand Prix, competes with specific aims in mind.
This includes targeting race wins, podiums, top six finishes, top ten finishes, bronze replica finishes, just simply to finish the race they are competing in.
In Cleethorpes Jeff Smith’s case, his main goal for his latest MGP tenure is a top 20 finish in the Senior Classic race.
Commenting recently about this topic, he stated:
“My ambition is to safely get the Matchless G50 home in a top twenty position for the Senior Classic race, my three daughters and six grandchildren will be cheering me on from Lincolnshire – the twins Reggie and Ronnie are especially vocal.”
A Classic TT competitor since from 2014-2018, Smith’s Mountain Course racing CV includes three top 25 finishes, five top thirty finishes in total.
All set to venture back to Manx shores, the Oil Terminal Manager by profession latest real roads expedition sees him pilot G50 Matchless machinery, which is sponsored by the following:
Rob Stewart – RobSpeed Motorcycles
Dave Beeson – Beeson Plumbing
Oklahoma USA based Jason & Julie Landers – The Grand Cigar & Lounge
