Despite patchy, mixed conditions, it couldn’t stop the summer fun enjoyed by those competing at the latest Jurby Airfield meeting.
Amongst those participating on Saturday around the anti-clockwise configuration Jurby Airfield circuit, included prospective Manx GP newcomer Paul Cassidy.
Island Fuels supported Cassidy, a top 15 finisher in this month’s Southern 100 Solo Championship, went onto take a brace of Pre-Injection 600cc victories, enabling him to claim the 2022 Andreas Racing Pre-Injection Championship title.
Cassidy also showed strongly in the 1000cc races as did Mountain Course racing regular Marc Colvin.
Colvin took the victory spoils in both 4 Stroke Twin Cylinder races whilst the Sidecar encounters featured multiple TT driver/passenger combinations.
Three wheeling successes across Saturday went the way of Craig Melvin/Stuart Christian, who comprehensively outpaced crews including Dave Quirk/Karl Schofield and TT winning passenger turned driver Darren Hope/Lenny Bumfrey.
