Details about the recently revealed Jurby Airfield based event include:
* Non Manx racers to gain free ARA (Andreas Racing Association) membership for the meeting.
* Test day for members of the VMCC – Vintage Motorcycle Isle of Man section.
* 350 Classic, 500 Classic, Classic Superbike, Super Twins, Supersport races to take place.
* Machines eligible for the races have to be applicable to current Manx GP regulations.
Reaction from the VMCC about the new Jurby Day, was provided via a spokesman for the club’s Isle of Man section.
“The event is not intended to be a full blown recreation of the hugely successful Motorcycling Festival of Jurby of previous years.
But we do intend to put on a show to entertain the Manx Grand Prix visitors still on the Island after the racing has finished We expect to have on show and on track, many famous classic road and race bikes, including a wonderful Honda ‘6’ 250.”
