Senior Manx GP runner up Barry Evans is a confirmed entrant for the 67th Gold Cup meeting at Oliver’s Mount, as he links up with fellow Welshman Paul Owen piloting the roads stalwarts Team 98 FZR 750 Genesis Yamaha within the Classic Superbike races.
One of the fastest rising roads forces to emerge from Wales for multiple years, the second quickest rider in Manx GP history is definitely capable of high quality results at Scarborough in a few weeks time.

Part of a Team 98 statement issued on Facebook, provided further details of the Anglesey racer’s merger with ‘Moz’ Owen. It stated:
“The 29 year old from Anglesey, North Wales is looking forward to riding Paul’s classic Superbike in the F1 Superbike and Senior open class, and that will free up team owner Paul Owen from Llangollen, North Wales to concentrate on his Honda RS 250 GP bike.
After another outstanding performance with a 2nd and 5th place finishes at the ulster Grand Prix and 6th place at the Isle of Man Classic TT on board his 1993 Honda.”
