DTR Planning Two Rider 2018 Roads Project

DTR (Danny Tomlinson Racing) are planning to next year run a two rider roads team, at the international road races, including of course the TT Races.

Dan Kneen’s third place finish in the Royal London 360 Quantum Superstock race of TT 2017, was a firm sign of intent of DTR’s ambitions to become one of pure road racing’s elite teams.

Having enjoyed an excellent season with Manxman Kneen, it’s no surprise that Danny Tomlinson’s outfit is aiming to retain the services of the second fastest rider in history at the Ulster Grand Prix for next year.

DTR are also looking at the possibility of working with an up and coming road racer, running them on high spec Super Twin, Supersport and Superstock machinery at the North West 200, TT, Southern 100 and Ulster GP.

Reflecting on 2017, plus giving an insight into the plans for 2018, Team Owner Danny Tomlinson said:

“I’m very happy with 2017. Great results with Dan. We knew we were on good form in TT practice but 3rd place in Superstock was just fantastic.

Really happy with the Southern 100 results as well considering our engines only arrived from Germany tuesday morning !!!

Will be running a Supersport 600, Superstock and Superbike next year for our main rider, then the other 3 bikes for a newcomer.”
