Manx GP: Czech Ace Dokoupil Leads Cookson Racing Challenge

Mike Cookson’s Cookson Racing team, 100th Anniversary Manx Grand Prix challenge is led by one of the Czech Republic’s most famous motorcyclists, Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil.

As in 2022, Dokoupil’s prime steed for next month’s Classic Superbike race, is an early 1990’s specification GSXR 750 Suzuki.

He’s also set to participate in the Lightweight race, piloting the same TZ 250 Yamaha, he raced back in May at the Pre-TT Classic.

Since making his Mountain Course racing bow in 2009, fans favourite Dokoupil has helped ten-fold increase the popularity of real road racing across Czechia.

Highly capable of collecting top-calibre results in August, Cookson Racing are quietly confident that he can deliver the goods.

Reminder if you are not already aware, the 2023 Manx GP, the 100th edition commences in under four weeks-time, running from the 20th-28th August.
