Macau GP stalwart Steve Heneghan will embark upon an enterprising, fresh new challenge at next months Macau Grand Prix, as the Bournemouth Kawasaki racer tackles for the first time Ducati’s all new V4 Panigale steed.
One of the most anticipated new motorcycles worldwide, the V4 Panigale which will be piloted in next years World Superbike Championship by Chaz Davies and Alvaro Bautista, boasts a widely predicted output of in excess of 210 BHP.
It’s going to be interesting to see how competitive it is at Macau, as event specialist Heneghan takes the controls of a bike which like Honda’s RC213V-S mount, has a Moto GP feel about it.
Six years a Macau GP competitor, new V4 Panigale pilot Heneghan who’s machine will run under the Reactive Parts banner, has chipped away with his pace in recent years around the unrelenting, technically challenge Macau course.
Consistently in contention for top 15 finishes or better, the Ducati factor could well prove the tonic to take him to the next level at the showpiece Asian International roads meet.
