In Form Sweeney Prepping For Latest Macau Adventure

Aiming to conclude what’s been another impressive roads season in positive fashion, the in form Michael Sweeney is another one to watch in November’s Macau Grand Prix.

Consistently at the sharp end of the Supersport and Superbike races at the Irish national meetings, ‘Micko’ has also this year shown strong form at the premier International events.

Fifth within the Bennetts Lightweight race of TT 2018, his fifth TT tenure also yielded an overall sixth place finish in the prestigious Privateers Championship.

August’s MCE Insurance Ulster Grand Prix would also provide tumultuous moments including fourth, fifth place finishes in the opening Super Twin, Supersport races.

Most recently the popular Skerries based racer enjoyed an extremely positive Mrs Browns Boys East Coast Racing Festival, scoring Supersport, Super Twin victories plus claiming the man of the meeting award, courtesy of five podium finishes from five starts.

Steadily developing into an accomplished, high calibre exponent of the technically challenging, unrelenting Macau GP course, the two time Junior Manx GP winners steed for next months race action is the Martin Jones Racing S1000RR BMW, which has proven a potent tool throughout his 2018 roads campaign.

Expect 2014 Irish Road Race 250 champion Sweeney to as at every roads event, that he competes at to produce consummate, solid and accomplished performances in practice, qualifying and the upcoming 12 lap race.
