Latest Belgian Classic Trophy Excites, Thrills, Captivates

The Belgian Classic Trophy is one of those must-see events for pure road racing enthusiasts.

Taking place for the 15th time last weekend, the UK enjoyed strong representation in particular from Selby’s David Tetley.

Victorious within both 500 Gr1 races, the yesteryear racing stalwart also proved peerless in the 350cc races.

Joining quadruple victor Tetley in the race winners circle was Irish roads regular Richard Ford, who took Post Classic 4t2 Race Two spoils.

Added UK racers racing yesterday included Stuart Fitton, Huw Edwards, twice G1 250 class conqueror Andy Hunt and Post Classic 4t1 front runner Ian Steltner.

Outside of British competitors, overseas Classic racing pilots enjoying successes included Marc Beltran (IHRO – International Historic Racing Organisation), Eric Delrez (G2 250), Paul Petitjean (IPC Evo).

Not forgetting top three wheeling partnerships Laurent Pierat/Antoine Poiret, Bruno Noel/Germain Sacchettini and the all-Dutch pairing Marvin Vermeulen/Jouk Hahn.

Established as one of the leading Classic racing festival’s worldwide, the Belgian Classic Trophy year in year out excites, thrills, provides great sights, smells, sounds.

The 3.15 miles long Gedinne course, is a real riders circuit which has a mix of everything, fast flowing corners, 22 curves, 200 metre straight, great scenery.

It’s pure undiluted between the hedges competition, just like this week’s Manx Grand Prix!
