Marek Cerveny and David Hanzalik starred during today’s qualifying sessions at Kopcany.
Two time IRRC Supersport champion Cerveny was in dominant form on the Wepol/Safmetal backed BMW, in finishing fastest overall in Superbike qualifying by in excess of two seconds, over nearest challenger Petr Biciste.

Whilst local racer Hanzalik, edged out Wolfgang Schuster to claim Supersport pole position, he also set the pace within the Super Twins class.
Daniel Zornweg set the Super Mono pace as Milan Hanzalik topped the 400 field. The two stroke categories where headed by Eduard Werner (125 SP), Michal Savinkov (125 GP) and Petr Kunz (250 SP).
Pace setters aboard classic machinery where Jozef Jezovica (Classic 175/250) and Marek Stibor (Classic 350/500/750).
Outside of the pole sitters, additional riders to impress today at Kopcany included Richard Sedlak, Michal Vecko, Leos Hlavacek, Ales Nechvatal and Dan Vyslouzil.
Whilst long time TT Races competitor, Toni Rechberger, qualified a very creditable 12th, for the 14 lap Superbike race.
Eight races are scheduled tomorrow, at the meeting in Slovakia, which further illustrates the sheer worldwide appeal of real road racing.
