2014 Duke Road Race Rankings champion James Cowton, is set to take in a busy 2017 roads schedule.
The East Yorkshireman is planning to return to the Mountain Course for TT 2017, plus compete at the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix, Cookstown 100, Southern 100, Armoy Road Races and all Oliver’s Mount meetings.
2016 has been a testing year at times for James, who has competed on a wide variety of different machinery.
He has showcased this year his proven prowess in the Super Twins class, plus TT 2016 saw him lap for the first time in excess of 127 mph, on his way to 18th in the RST Superbike race.
Most recently the 66th Scarborough Gold Cup, saw the Kilham based rider produce series of accomplished performances, on his own teams CBR 600 Honda and Ken Dobson backed ER6 Kawasaki.
Still to decide on machinery for next year, James is making sure he gains the right mounts, that will allow him to progress further up the pure road racing ladder.
Regarded amongst the next generation of pure road racers, he has the undoubted capabilities to in the future, become a TT winner.
