Isle Of Man Festival Of Motorcycling: Weather Halts Monday’s Race Action

Monday’s race action at the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling has been cancelled, following a mix of thick mist, fog and increasing rain.

Competition scheduled to get underway at 10:15 AM was originally delayed by 30 minutes, then increased by an hour, till ultimately Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson made the decision to call time on today’s Mountain Course schedule.

With much better weather forecast tomorrow, it’s hoped to get action underway from 12:00 PM with the Sure Junior Classic TT, with roads closing at 11:30 AM through to 5:00 PM.

Then roads will close again at 6:00 PM through to 8:15 PM, with the four lap Newcomers Manx Grand Prix set to run from 6:15 PM.
