By History made, history confirmed, Marek Cerveny is officially, a five times, three times successive IRRC Supersport Champion.
Success from the earlier Supersport race put Cerveny within touching distance of middleweight class title No.5 and he did everything he had to do across the afternoon’s ten-lap encounter, finishing a gritty third, second best full-time IRRC competitor.
Adam McLean, who’s Championship tilt effectively was thwarted via technical problems in the previous race, finished second, top IRRC ace, 0.153 of a second behind Jef Van Calster, following a middleweight class thriller at Frohburg.
Both Van Calster, McLean broke Sheridan Morais class lap record from 2019 with Belgium’s Van Calster ending with Frohburger Dreieck Supersport lap record honours, (Top lap time – 1.37.145 seconds).
Petr Najman finished fourth, only under half a second behind IRRC icon Cerveny.
Ilja Caljouw, Romain Cleaz Savoyen, Michal Prasek picked up fifth, sixth, seventh place finishes. Virgil Amber Bloemhard was eighth whilst leading UK racer in ninth was the ebullient Darryl Tweed.
Rico Vetter snapped up tenth, Rhys Hardisty took eleventh with fellow Brit David Brook a respectable thirteenth.
