IRRC Supersport Runner-Up Caljouw To Make TT Debut

2021 IRRC Supersport runner-up Ilja Caljouw will become the latest overseas star to take on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, having confirmed his participation in the 2022 TT Races.

A race winner last September at Frohburger Dreieck, Caljouw’s TT debut sees him competing for long term suitors Performance Racing Achterhoek, piloting ZX-10RR Kawasaki machinery across the Superbike, Superstock, Senior races.

Undoubtably one of the Netherlands fastest rising roads scene forces, the Bovensmilde rider secured during last years IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) season eight podium finishes from eight race starts.

Feeling that now is the right time to join the TT rider ranks, his pre-event preparation will kick up a level this month, as he travels to Manx shores.

A TT debutant at the same time as Honda Racing’s Glenn Irwin, Pikes Peak winner Rennie Scaysbrook, Penz 13’s Luca Gottardi, his progress will be monitored closely by astute road racing aficionados and Dutch TT super fans a plenty.
