Akroyd Retains Team Classic Suzuki Seat

Nearing three years away from Mountain Course affiliated action, Manx GP, Oliver’s Mount Scarborough top three finisher Joe Akroyd is eagerly anticipated the 2022 TT Races, competing for Team Classic Suzuki.

Originally set to compete for Steve Wheatman’s outfit at TT 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic struck, the opportunity remains in place this year for improving roads talent Akroyd.

Planning to later this month go testing with the Classic Suzuki squad, Akroyd’s already accomplished roads CV alongside previously showcased achievements includes:

* 18th – 2019 Senior TT
* 22nd – 2019 Supersport TT Race 2
* 12th – 2015 Formula 2 Classic TT
* 7th – 2019 Southern 100 Solo Championship race

Certain to be one to keep an eye on, his latest TT tenure gets underway in minus four months time, with competition reminder taking place from the 29th May to the 10th June.
