Matthieu Lagrive ended his extremely tumultuous, prodigious 2019 IRRC tenure with success in a dramatic second 10 lap IRRC Frohburg Supersport race.
Involved throughout within a close fought battle for honours with Wepol Road Racing team mate, Frohburg debutant Sheridan Morais, it was the South African star who held the race lead as the tenth and final lap beckoned.
Ultimately though French IRRC great Lagrive emerged victorious, as Morais endured a challenging final lap, dropping back to eighth as Laurent Hoffmann and LSE Racing’s Christian Schmitz finalised the rostrum finishers.

Open Supersport/Superstock 600 Race 2 runner-up Jorn Hamberg finished fourth, Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Ilja Caljouw banked fifth as Optimark Road Racing’s Xavier Denis wrapped up the top six finishers.
Anssi Koski took seventh, improving Mountain Course exponent Julian Trummer placed a creditable ninth as Tomas Toth rounded out the first ten finishers.
Others to record creditable finishes included Mauro Poncini 12th, Martin Riedl 13th, Kai Zentner 14th, sole Moto 2 competitor Henrik Voit 15th and MV Agusta mounted Stefan Wauter 19th.
