IRRC Champion Todd In Contention For BMW Motorrad Race Trophy Crown

IRRC Superbike champion Davey Todd could well be adding by the end of this season, another major title to his already ultra impressive road racing CV, with the affable Brotton racer in pole position to secure the prestigious BMW Motorrad Race Trophy crown.

The series which combines the results from 21 different championships worldwide, to determine the leading BMW customer supported racer worldwide, was won last year by Tunbridge Wells Danny Webb.

Following a quite scintillating season of competition at a selection of famous, iconic, illustrious European roads courses, Wepol Road Racing’s Todd is on course to become the UK’s second series winner, holding at present a 15 point series lead over International German Championship winner Ilya Mikhalichik.

With 13 rounds of the 2019 BMW Motorrad Race Trophy series still to take place, including November’s Macau Grand Prix and just over 30 points separating the present top three in the championship standings, it’s still anyone’s title.

Reminder the final round of the Road Race Challenge part of the series, the 53rd Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, takes place from the 14th-17th of November.
