21 riders at present are set to sample the six-round 2023 IRRC Supersport series, following the full disclosure of the provisional entry list, for the middleweight class within the International Road Racing Championship.
Reigning Champion, Czech roads icon Marek Cerveny will be targeting an unprecedented fourth Supersport title whilst leading challenger last year Jorn Hamberg (Performance Racing Achterhoek) also has his sights firmly set on Championship glory.
Others to consider as potential front runners throughout the year ahead include Hamberg’s Performance Racing Achterhoek team-mate Ilja Caljouw, Petr Najman and twice TT winner ‘AKA Driver’ Gary Johnson (Team Schleizer Dreieck).
Notable series newcomers include Never Be Clever Racing’s all British team of Rhys Hardisty and Forest Dunn.
In total five manufacturers enjoy representation, with Yamaha featuring strongest with twelve racers down to pilot YZF-R6 Yamaha machinery.
Nations wise, nine countries are represented, England, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Wales, Czech Republic, Finland, France and the Isle of Man.
