Yamaha France backed Pierre Yves Bian battled his way to victory, in the opening IRRC Supersport encounter at Imatranajo, edging out Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Joey Den Besten.
With the original start of the race, red flagged following an incident involving three riders, the race re start would take in just six laps of the roads of Imatra.

Cause of this, it’s no wonder the competition was so close, not only amongst the front runners, but also in the battle for the final spot on the podium, which was wrapped up by Thomas Walther, just in front of Christian Schmitz.
Ilja Caljouw finished fifth, Jochen Rotter was a solid sixth as Anssi Koski, Max Gaube, Sammy Ahonen and Sebastian Frotscher completed the top ten.
Notable non finishers included Wolfgang Schuster, Kamil Holan and Laurent Hoffmann.
