Ian Lougher – Scarborough Gold Cup


Ian Lougher competed for the final time at Oliver’s Mount this weekend at this years Scarborough gold cup. Ian competing on the WA Corless joinery/Jackson racing CBR 600 Honda achieved a brilliant third place finish in the second David Jefferies cup supersport race.

Alongside this result Ian achieved a top 3 finish in the opening 250 race and was runner up in the opening 125 race when competing on the Replicast UK backed RS 125 Honda. But the biggest result of the weekend for Ian was winning the second 250 race of the weekend when competing on Brian Scott’s RS250 Honda.

This result took Ian’s tally of wins around Oliver’s Mount up to now 132 wins. Over the years Ian has produced many a incredible performance around the unique road race circuit. One of Ian’s best wins in the supersport 600 class came in 2008 when Ian won the second supersport 600 race of the weekend edging out TT legend John Mcguinness.

So Ian has gone out on top at this years Scarborough gold cup. Theres no doubt that Ian is one of the best riders to have ever raced around Oliver’s Mount.
