TT 2015 will mark five years since Ian Hutchinson accomplished the quite incredible feat of five wins in a week at TT 2010.
Recently Ian has clocked up over 350 laps in testing with the Paul Bird motorsport team who are running hutchy at TT 2015, North West 200 and Ulster Grand Prix.
Although the 2014 road racing season was a tough one for Ian there where glimpses of the form he showed when winning the 2013 Macau Grand Prix.
Feature superbike race at the Ulster Grand Prix saw him finish eighth but earlier on he gained a great start slotting into top four placing mixing it with the likes of Michael Dunlop, Lee Johnston, Guy Martin and Bruce Anstey.
Fifth position in feature superbike at the North West 200 was Ian’s leading result at all of the international road races in 2014.
Now armed with new machinery and new impetus he goes into this season confident that he can be back on the podium at TT races.
Although there has been trials and tribulations a plenty in the last five years for the road racing hero you don’t lose talent over night and there’s no doubt that everything is in place for hutchy to be back pushing for race victories.
For superbike and senior races at TT 2015 he holds start number nine which could well be a lucky omen for him, with a current tally of eight TT wins is a ninth victory at the famous road race in the world on the cards, time will tell.
