Returning to the Macau GP scene for the first time in three years, former meeting victor Ian Hutchinson will return to competitive action around the iconic Guia Circuit in November, piloting the Team Milwaukee with SMT S1000RR BMW.
Victorious in herculean fashion at Macau in 2013, the fiercely determined Bingley racer in his corresponding event ventures from 2014-2016 endured it’s fair to say mixed fortunes.
Proven on S1000RR BMW machinery, it’s going to be fascinating to see how competitive the 16 times TT winner can be next month, as he competes against the likes of Michael Rutter, Lee Johnston, Davey Todd and world’s fastest road racer Peter Hickman.
In new team suitors SMT Racing, he is competing for an outfit which consistently raises their game when it comes to Guia Circuit based competition.

Robin Croft’s team who enjoyed event success in 2012, are certain to provide twice Superbike TT Champion Hutchinson with a hugely competitive BMW mount.
Never to be underestimated, whilst he may be going into Macau GP action for 2019 more than a touch under the radar, you simply can’t discount a racer as committed as Hutchinson, from rejoining next month the International Road Race podium finishers circle.
