High Hopes For Baja International Tourist Cup To Join Pure Roads Scene In 2021

There’s high hopes for a new North American road race to join the pure roads scene in 2021, the Tecate, Baja California based Baja International Tourist Cup.

Located close to the USA/Mexico border, the event which is the brainchild of respected race events organiser Pedro A.Vargas Valdez is hoped to take place next year from the 13th-14th February on a 9.95 miles long roads course.

Racers to date to express an interest in sampling the prospective Baja International Tourist Cup include reigning San Pedro Martir Hill Climb winner Eric Foutch, former TT competitors Wade Boyd and Alex Torres Mori.

Plus Adam Bauer who finished 15th within the 2017 Newcomers A Manx Grand Prix and TT Races stalwart Eric Wilson, who sampled last year for the first time the acclaimed Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

It’s great news for road racing worldwide, that the sport is becoming more and more popular in the America continents.

Proposed events like the Baja International Tourist Cup, can only help ten fold increase the popularity, stature, prominence of a sport which is unlike any other and one that is the most exciting form of motorsport worldwide.
