By Mountain Course veteran, stalwart Dave Hewson is set to become the latest prominent roads competitor to tackle Mexico’s newest real roads event, the Baja International Tourist Cup in 2022.
Lincolnshire’s Hewson whilst not racing, was part of the Baja scene this year, helping inaugural Tourist Cup Champion, good friend, fellow Obsession Engineering team member Eric Wilson.
You could tell via You Tube videos, his enthusiasm for North America’s latest roads circuit based motorsport meet and it’s not a surprise to see him keen to take in the over nine miles long Baja course.
Entered within the Superstock class, his Tourist Cup stock mount is set to carry the 47 plate.
Reminder the second Baja International Tourist Cup edition takes place next year from the 29th-30th September, just days before the longest hill climb worldwide, the San Pedro Martir time trial.
