Post the conclusion of his successful tenure with BE/RK Racing, it didn’t seem as though Irish Road Race Supersport Champion Michael Browne would be Scarborough shores bound.
However, all is different as of this morning, with Oliver’s Mount racing organisers disclosing that the twice Manx Grand Prix winner is set to re-join the RST Supersport entry.
Originally down to pilot BE/RK Racing’s YZF R6 Yamaha, the speediest Republic of Ireland racer in TT Races history, now has ZX6R Kawasaki tackle at his disposal courtesy of Allspeeds Racing by Garnett Electrical.
Back in July, overall, Cock O’The North feature-races runner-up, Browne’s progress around the twisty, iconic 2.43 miles long Oliver’s Mount circuit has been potent since his circuit debut at the Bob Smith Spring Cup in 2021.
Whilst his first Gold Cup tilt, sees him astride machinery he hasn’t piloted before, you’d be brave to discount him from capturing an impressive set of results.
