Steve Henshaw Gold Cup organisers have put together quite the field for next week’s Motul Classic Superbike races.
The 20 racer entry features to name but a few:
107 times race winner at Scarborough, 26 times TT podium finisher, yesteryear Superbike lap record holder Dean Harrison, who is back aboard Key Racing’s distinctive sounding, 916 Ducati.
Oliver’s Mount returnee, triple Irish Road Race Superbike Champion Derek Sheils (Greenall Racing Kawasaki).
Greenall Racing team-mate, notable Scarborough debutant, fellow Countryman Brian McCormack.
2019 Barry Sheene Trophy winner Dave Bell (Graham Turnbull Yamaha), Bishop Castle’s Barry Furber (DC Auto Repairs Newtown Suzuki).
Mick Goodings (Motocraft Conversions), San Pedro Martir Hill Climb top three finisher Dave Hewson (Obsession Engineering), Adrian Harrison (Care2Care Bradford).
Kristian Didelot (Turvey’s Tattoo’s-Whitby/BDS Motorcycles), Paul Marley (Marley Landrovers/Allspeed Motorcycles), 2019 Gold Cup runner-up Mike Norbury (Talk of The Town/Team York Suzuki).
Sowerby Bridge’s Ian Armstrong, Dave Suddes and class winner times two at the Bob Smith Spring Cup, 2016 Senior Manx GP winner Tom Weeden.
Supermono pilots also feature in the six-lap Classic Superbike encounters.
Competitors hoping to capture class triumphs include the Kramer powered trio of Jamie Kelman, Easingwold’s William Pickering and ‘130 Mph Club’ TT member, Shaun Anderson (Anderson Racing Developments).
