Unquestionably one of the main highlights from the latest Jurby Airfield meeting, was the generations Sidecar Race 2 battle between Ryan Crowe/Callum Crowe and Mountain Course greats Dave Molyneux/Dan Sayle.
The prior opening three wheeling contest had seen the Crowe brothers emerge 9.26 seconds ahead of their more experienced counterparts.
It was much closer though in the following six lap race held on the anti-clockwise Jurby course as KTM powered Molyneux/Sayle, showed all of their gritty race craft, finely honed capabilities.
Despite the Crowe’s best efforts, setting a best race lap time of 1 minute 09.488 seconds, it wasn’t enough to stop their aforementioned fellow countryman from clinching race honours by just 0.247 of a second.
Molyneux/Sayle’s latest triumph with their 890cc KTM powered steed will only add to their belief of enjoying a prominent TT 2022 tenure.
Speaking of TT 2022, it’s just 283 days away, not that I’m counting!
