Announced via Facebook this evening, 2021 Cookstown 100 Grand Final winner Forest Dunn has revealed his intention to walk away from competitive racing, for the foreseeable future.
The Cornwall ace is one of those characters in pure road racing, you can’t help but be pleased for when he achieves notable results, lap times, lap speeds.
Presently 80th amongst the all-time quickest TT riders list, he’s taken in seven TT expeditions, he started twenty-two TT races overall, picking up nine, top twenty-five finishes.
Winner of the Open, Richard Britton Memorial races at Enniskillen in 2019, last year saw him travel across Europe, riding in the IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) series for Never Be Clever Racing.
A points finisher at Hengelo, Imatranajo, Circuit De Chimay, Horice and Frohburg, he finished thirteenth, twelfth respectively within final Superbike, Supersport Championship standings.
I vividly remember Forest’s first pure road racing appearance at Oliver’s Mount, tackling the 2014 Scarborough Gold Cup.
He’s come leaps and bounds since then, racing at an extremely high level, competing for esteemed teams including Team Classic Suzuki.
Road Racing News wishes him all the best for the future.
